When we speak of tea and meditation, the two words are almost inseparable. Many centuries ago when tea culture was being spread in the far east, it was not uncommon for Buddhist monks in Tibet to drink large quantities of pu-erh, and Zen monks in Japan to do the same with Matcha in order to stay awake during long meditation hours. It's the ritual of brewing tea while at the same time practicing mindfulness and meditation.
PREPARING THE TEA. Pay attention to each movement and every step. Clear your mind from thoughts.
THE SPACE. This could be any space, but dedicating it to the experience is essential. Make sure to put away all the things you don't need at this moment, visually they distract you from your peace.
TAKE TIME TO APPRECIATE THE TEA. Connect with it. Imagine where it came from. Smell it.
DRINKING THE TEA. Be aware of your movements, your thoughts, the ways that you feel. Acknowledge it and let it go. Each moment is fleeting.

"Canarino" in Italian literally means canary, but don't worry, we are not going to bake sweet Tweety in the oven :) This is just the name Italians use for a herbal tea everyone makes at home when they had far too much food and want to help their digestion. This is one of many "nonna's remedies", i rimedi della nonna, and require just a good lemon and some bay leaves.
Adding Green Tea to this beverage enhances the natural property of the lemon zest and the bay leaves, giving a boost of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and vitamins.

INGREDIENTS:
• 4 mint leaves, divided
• 1/2 ounce simple syrup
• 1 ounce Hennessy cognac
• 2 ounces freshly brewed Sorate Hojicha tea, chilled
• Splash of soda (optional)
HOW TO MAKE IT
1. Gather the ingredients.
2. In a mixing glass, add 3 mint leaves, and simple syrup and mix very well.
3. Add the Hennessy cognac and fresh Sorate Hojicha tea and mix a little more.
4. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with fresh ice.
5. Garnish with a mint leaf.
6. Serve and enjoy.
TIPS
To get the most flavor out of your tea leaves, brew it with hot water then chill it. Follow the recommended brewing time on the package at first. You can always make adjustments to suit your taste.

Subjects 18 to 50 years of age were recruited via public transportation advertisements for stress-reduction programs.
They were required to have had minimal prior experience with meditation or yoga practice.

have been proposed to provide an optimal condition for exposure therapy because it involves experiencing the present moment with an open, curious and non-reactive mindset. Numerous studies have documented that mindfulness meditation programs are useful for reducing anxiety.

One of the many benefits of green tea is its ability to suppress appetite. Green Tea has various antioxidants and plant compounds beneficial to the human body, which could be one reason for its ability to stave off hunger.

In addition to its hunger suppressant abilities, green tea is also claimed to have weight- loss and fat-burning properties.
HOW?
It is known that drinking green tea can suppress hunger and thus aid in weight- loss as it affects the production of catechloamines in the body. Catechloamines are peptide hormones, which activate the sympathetic nervous system.
In studies, researchers have found that the active compound in green tea, EGCG, helps to mediate food appetite by inhibiting an enzyme that would normally break down catecholamines.
