Harvested in first flush, this blend combines value with superb taste. With a gentle aroma and smooth finish, this tea can be brewed with hot water or steeped in room-temperature water for up to 6 hours for a refreshing, hot-weather drink. 

Sencha has more catechins than any other Japanese tea. Sencha also has twice as much vitamin C and nearly three times the amount of vitamin E of other Japanese teas. Karigane stems are rich in Theanine an Amino acid with a sweet and flavorful taste that works to relax the body and brain - improving mental performance and attention. Some people take Theanine by mouth for anxiety, stress, depression, schizophrenia, for preventing Alzheimer's disease, and for treating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
